LaPiat welcomes Celebrity Chef Jennifer Baglione
Known as “the new age Nonna” amongst beloved friends and family, Jennifer Baglione began her food journey at the age of 10 years old, after her first trip to Italy. It was on this trip she learned the value of family and the importance of bringing everyone together to share a meal. She quickly realized that no matter what hardships we may face in life, nothing mattered when seated at the family table with a home cooked meal ready to be devoured.
Jennifer also took notice to how hard her father, Luciano, worked and valued his role as the sole provider in her family. She decided he deserved to come home to a delicious meal after a long days work with an evening filled with laughter and the sharing of everyone’s day. It was in that moment where Jennifer truly fell in love with the art of cooking. Nothing in life mattered except the moments shared when breaking bread- any and all struggles and anxieties of life faded away as every bite was taken. Nothing was as universal as love, as the enjoyment of food.
Upon facing familial struggles, Jennifer decided to take her future in her own hands and audition for Masterchef Canada, where she would be given the opportunity to change her entire life and ultimately take care of her family, if selected to compete for a life-changing reward of $100,000 and the title of MasterChef Canada. As seen on the season premiere of MasterChef Canada Season 3, Jennifer prepared a wild mushroom risotto in hopes of obtaining the coveted white apron with her name on it, which she did.
