Cook4Kids Fundraiser – Saturday January 26th

LaPiat launches “Cook4Kids” Day to support the Tech4SickKids Foundation

LaPiat, the online food marketplace platform, in cooperation with the SickKids Tech Foundation launched “Cook4Kids” Day, a cook-a-thon fundraising event where the proceeds went in support of the SickKids Tech Foundation.

On January 26th 2019, MasterChef Finalist Jennifer Baglione and Chef Jordan Gillis from CNE’s famous Hot Tokyo Fried Chicken partnered for an ALL-DAY COOK-A-THON hosted by LaPiat and cooked up some of their best recipes. All their dishes were promoted through the LaPiat platform offering the users an opportunity to order and enjoy the tasty food of their choice.

During this event customers could purchase delicious meals through LaPiat which were then delivered to their doorsteps by the LaPiat team.. All proceeds from this event supported the SickKids Tech Foundation. This Foundation plays an integral role in efforts to meet the growing needs of patients through the redevelopment of the SickKids Campus, including a new Emergency Suite and investments in data analytics systems and leadership.

This fundraising campaign is intended to be an annual event, with the 2019 year being the kick-off fundraiser under the LaPiat platform.

The first Cook4Kids event was very successful. We were just shy of our 200 orders goal, but our team received some amazing experience which will use next year to beat our fundraising goal.

LaPiat wants to thank our amazing Chefs, MasterChef Finalist Jennifer Baglione and Chef Jordan Gillis & Jason from CNE’s famous Hot Tokyo Fried Chicken. They were they true starts of this event by performing an all day cooking marathon and producing some delicious food. You can see more of Chef Jennifer or Chef Jordan in their Instagram accounts, @baglionestagione & @TokyoHotFriedChicken and you can always find their food on the LaPiat app.

A special thank you also goes to Kitchen24 @Kitchen24_ for providing their amazing kitchen facility.
